The choir gave a fabulous performance during their two sessions, and for a group that only had their first rehearsal in August last year, sound like they’ve spent many a year together creating lots of great entertainment! We wish them the very best for future success.

Thanks to all club Rotarians and their families who were able to attend, along with guests from each of our cluster clubs (Carlton, Collingwood, Fitzroy and Richmond), along with our District leadership in the form of new District Governor Colin Muir and his wife Pauline, and Assistant Governor Chris Wang and his wife Janet. Also too it was great for club members to meet some of Dean and Mel’s family — Dean’s mum Alison and dad Bill, and sister Lynne and brother-in-law Alf.

We also recognised our ten eleven club past presidents (sorry Terry, we didn’t mean to leave you out!)…

Our outgoing Club President David Kennedy paid tribute to the work of members and our projects throughout 2008-09, including our new sister club arrangement with the Rotary Club of Marikina in District 3800, The Philippines, our involvement in providing volunteers for the Homeless World Cup, ongoing support of Brunswick Industries Association Inc and our international project in Bagong Barrio, Manila.

After officially going through the “changeover” induction of new President Dean, one of his first duties was to present a well-deserving immediate past president David Kennedy with a Paul Harris Fellow recognition for his sterling effort as club president for 2008-09.
