Vale Will Moulding

It was with much sadness to advise that Honorary Member Will Moulding passed away peacefully overnight on Friday night.

Will was the club’s last surviving charter/foundation member, joining in October 1952 and serving as Club President in 1971-72 (he started his Rotary President year when I was less than 2 weeks old — Dean). He was also a 5 sapphire Paul Harris Fellow — the club’s highest awarded by our club.

As Mal Dubock has described, will was an active, committed and inspirational Rotarian, and was a 100% attendee for almost 50 years and attended all Rotary functions (he was on “The Walk” at 82). Will was a regular golfer into his 90s.

Will was older than Rotary itself. Rotary was formed in February 1905, Will had been born the July prior.

Our condolences go out to son John and Will’s family.
