Welcome Cuc
It’s always a great meeting at Rotary when a new member induction is taking place — and our meeting of 16th July 2009 was no exception.
We welcomed Cuc Lam as our newest Brunswick Rotarian, witnessed by 22 members and guests (a great turnout for the annual visit from our District Governor Colin Muir and his wife Pauline).
Cuc joins Rotary in the classification “Multicultural Services” and we hope she enjoys a long and most rewarding future as a Rotarian.
Some people may recognise Cuc’s name: she is a former City of Maribyrnong councillor and her red vinyl suitcase forms part of the permanent collection at the Immigration Museum at Old Customs House in Flinders Street.

In the photo above welcoming Cuc we have in the back row (L-R): David Earley (one of Cuc’s club sponsors), District 9800 Assistant Governor Chris Wang, Club President Dean Kennedy. In the front row (L-R): Mike Landry (Cuc’s other club sponsor), Cuc Lam, Pauline Muir and District 9800 Governor Colin Muir.
