The President, Len Cheffers, resigned after serving only three months as President, due to him accepting a position with the Camberwell City Council; Geoff Sutcliffe became President for the remainder of the Rotary year.

During this year our Club was actively engaged in assisting and establishing the newly formed Rotary Club of Coburg.

Quite a number of our Club members during the weekend of 11 and 12 May cut d delivered firewood – 60 tons to the Delgany Home for Deaf Children at Portsea.

A cricket bat was obtained from Ian Johnson who autographed it for the purpose of our Club raising money.

Cyd Elwood Operatic Productions donated to our Club one hundred pounds from the Production of “The Red Sombrero”.

Twenty seven pounds ten shillings was spent to purchase a bookcase in which to keep the Club records at the Brunswick and Coburg Boys’ Club.
